8/18/2021 - CC_H Likes this wine:90 PointsI consumed this over the course of a week or so, and it blossomed and developed nicely over time. Deep ruby in the glass and still very youthful on first impressions. The nose was well defined and very attractive as is often the case with Warre's, with lots of stewed fig, dark plum, spice, blackberry and raisin with a hint of high quality, dark chocolate. On the palate this came across as concentrated but elegant with a real sense of freshness. There is a lot of fruit here but not a huge amount of complexity and I suspect that may not emerge over time. This feels like it's just beginning to enter its drinking window and will drink well for at least another 10-15+ years. This is a very good, stylish Quinta da Cavadinha but not a blockbuster.
