This vintage rates better than any other year for this wine (2017 Vintage). The white wines that are made in Central Italy are not flashy or famous, but they can certainly be delicious. This area is known for making clean, light, white wines that are refreshing.

You will not find many famous grapes grown in this region, but you will find some great value and the local grapes make great wines.

Pecorino Terre di Chieti 2020 Tombacco

  • Relatively unknown in UK until recently. Interesting quite complex middleweight with a long dry finish. Look for hints of apple and pear with a smidgen of citrus and minerality (covering all bases here!)

Surprisingly substantial and whilst good by itself really shows to maximum effect with food. 2017 was a cracking vintage and the wine is showing at its best now.
