The number of Norwegian aquavit producers is relatively low comparing to Sweden and Denmark. Among them is the superb Linie Aquavit, so called because its casks are shipped to Australia and back to produce a mellow flavour profile. The result is a smooth, well-balanced spirt, with notes of caraway, star anise, vanilla and sherry.
